"Go to the vineyard in Edinburgh and deliver this fruit for me. Do not eat it, the instructions had been rather pointed which had the yearling grimacing. Somehow he'd caught their ire, otherwise he would not have been so direct with Ellion. He understood communication was important, but he wondered what he did to draw such criticism.

After he smelled his task, he immediately understood. The smell was foreign and exquisite. It had a slightly sweet and subtly earthen scent to it, one that had his lips watering before he even left the campus halls. It looked strange, too. Nothing his lilac eyes had ever seen before, which made him wonder where the professor had even obtained it from. A pink outer shell with green spines growing out of it. Ellion was determined to ask about it when he returned, though the fruit seemed a little too expensive to be curious about.

So, he took the journey particularly slow to enjoy the time he had with the fruit—which he named Pip. It was mid-afternoon with only a few clouds in the sky. If not for the fruit, he was sure he'd enjoy the smell of fresh grass. However, Pip was determined to be the only fragrance worth the effort of noticing.

Allen had also been curious of Pip, however his curiosity ended almost as quickly as it began. Fruit must not have been his favorite, since the owlet dismissed it so easily. "What do you like, Allen? He asked the tiny owl, but it's only response was to scurry next to him as they traveled. He frowned, but kept walking in silence.

Eventually he made his way to the vineyard—the smell here was grand too! And the sight, he'd never seen a vineyard before! "Look at that, Pip. We've made it!" He beamed ecstatically, though the fruit didn't respond. Allen, however, responded by flying atop his back and burrowing in Ellion's fur.

Before he walked up to the home, Ellion took a moment to take in the sight. The smell here was distinctive too, though, not as distinctive as Pip. Rows of vines branched over the hills, take almost the entire landscape away. The air was warm which made the fruits smell more odorous. What would it be like to work at a vineyard, he wondered.

Finally, with some effort, Ellion knocked on the solid doorframe and poked his nose through the slightly ajar door.

"Hello?
