ANTEROS ABERSENTHE
Anteros did his best not to travel the Inverness when he didn't have to, but alas the travels were due to much needed supplies. It had been a couple of months since he last was here, and in the hopes he would see the bright eyes of his ex mate and the smile on her face knowing her daughter was well, he instead found death. His heart hammered in the depths of his chest as he continued along, the anxiety peaking more so when he passed her den. He took a moment to stop, the temptation to peak in and make sure she had finally become one with the earth was strong, but he could not allow himself to go through that pain again. Leaves covered the entrance, proof no one else had taken residency there. It brought him comfort, but also grave sadness. The memories of what once were, and the reality of what would never be again hung thickly in the air. A cold drift of wind brought him back to attention, ruffling his dark name while keeping an eerie presence. He blinked, his muzzle turning back in the direction the wind blew strongest which brought his sights back to the den opening. His brows furrowed as he stood, a soft sigh escaping him as he took a step away to continue on his travels. Something, however, felt as though it was blocking his path and where he felt an emptiness, he also found a great deal of familiar warmth. |
