![]() Fern Haven Eithne
Her heart felt heavy as they left their home in the Fae Forest. She was old enough to understand why this was important, but Daisy; precious little Daisy, was still out there somewhere, she was sure of it. Still, Soraya and Piper were safe, Ma and Pa, Summit and Journey were all accounted for and Fern thanked every God she could think of for the family's safety.
The Eithne black sheep was up early, as she always seemed to be these days. As if she expected the moonlit pup to wander back to them any moment. She felt like she had to be ready to greet her, apologise for not looking after her like a big sister should. The sun had yet to rise, when Fern opened green eyes to the sight of her beloved frog Prince asleep in a small rain puddle. She smiled softly, her paws stretching out in front of her, flexing her toes. She had been promising little Piper a trip to the beach, and she intended to show the younger girl the magical colours the sunrise brought to the sky.
"Pips?" Fern called out softly, looking for the sunshine coated pup among the jumble of color that was their sleeping family. She watched for sleepy rose orbs, a colour that reminded her of the clouds during a fiery sunset. The softest, kindest eyes she could imagine. Kinder, even so, than their mother's soft stare. "Wake up, Pips." She whispered over the jumble of bodies. And no, I won't give you a little twirl
