Let’em Wonder.. After the fight with Nalik’s daughter she had left shortly after with promises to return to clean and her apology was still heavy in the air. She’d quickly hobbled her way to the city’s streets seeking out another medic to patch her up. When she was done she had no pain at all and had been told the only thing likely to scar was her muzzle. She had nodded her thanks and offered to spend a few weeks helping them out as payment before she made her way back towards his cabin. Her head was still racing with everything she now knew. She had found herself wrapped into something she didn’t really understand. Her friend merrin was the wife and Mother of children to the man she had growing feelings towards. Her head raced with that thought alone, and then there was the fact that Merrin had been the one to attack Nalik and harm him which still made her so mad. And lastly his daughter, Ryker. She was a spitfire. She had attacked Illaria without hesitation and Illaria was still confused as to why. But she was only mad at the girl for even considering harming Nalik. She took a shaky breath as she neared the front door. Now completely nervous to be here. But she shoved it down, she had a mess to clean and a patient to check on. So she knocked once and then pushed her way inside. Making her way to his room. She pushed the door open and peeked in. @Nalik How we got this Far |
do not press this,
I am relentless. He wasn't in bed when he heard his front door open. He wasn't even in his room. Dark ears rotated forward at the sound, assuming who it could be. It wasn't likely that Ryker had returned nor could she have gotten word to her brothers so quickly. Illaria was back. She caught him before he could return to his bed. He could hear her walking down the hall and then pushing open his bedroom door.
Approaching her from behind, he didn't think she would see him as she peered into his room.
He walked on three legs, his injured leg barely touching the ground even when he stood still. It was sore today, more than it had when he first woke but he had expected it after rising to his feet so suddenly. The bleeding had stopped but it was still angry. And each step that jostled his leg caused the ache to increase.

Let’em Wonder.. She nearly jumped out of her skin when his voice came from behind her. Her heart was racing at the scare he’d given her. But then his stepped closer and her heart began to skip a beat as he had her basically pinned between himself and his bedroom door. That was until he pushed his door open farther and she took a few steps into the room. Suddenly glad for the distance between them, she was sure he’d hear her heart if she’d stayed there even a second longer. She turned to face him now, looking him over. @Nalik How we got this Far |
do not press this,
I am relentless. He'd bite back his laughter when she jumped, startled by his sudden appearance. He managed to keep his expression schooled into something neutral. But when he stepped closer, she would still, until he offered an reprieve through the open door. She was slowly become a staple in his life, he felt the professionalism ebbing away as he grew comfortable in her presence.
She would fuss about him being out of bed and offered her shoulder to lean on. He considered arguing, but she glued herself to his side, leaving no room for his refusal. So he'd lean on her, some, still carrying most of his own weight.
Walking back to his bed, she was chastising him. Unexpectedly, his brow would arch at the unintentional and subtle innuendo in her choice of words. A sly grin tugged at the very corners of his mouth, just barely lifting his lips. He would hold his tongue though.
Making it back to his bed, he would recline, resting on his uninjured side. He was suddenly all to aware of her presence, of her fruity perfume that now lingered in his room even in her absence. He tracked her movements with the keenness of a predator, aware of every muscle twitch.

Let’em Wonder.. She was content when he didn’t object and gave some of his weight to her body to carry. And so she watched his pace as she helped him into his bed. She offered him a satisfied smirk. Before she pulled out another rabbit for him. One of the ones she bought earlier. She felt the stingy reminder of that fight on her face and neck. And briefly her mind wandered to the girl's leg. After she finished her task, she came to sit beside the bed. @Nalik How we got this Far |
do not press this,
I am relentless. Whether she noticed the smirk hanging off his lips, the glint in his eye, or not, she wouldn't react either way. Focused on getting him back to wear he belonged and resting, she wouldn't speak until he was reclining against the cushions. She would produce yet another rabbit, a single command falling from her lips. Feeling a bit dejected, he would eat in silence, only half watching as she busied herself.
Her apology had his attention refocusing on her.
When she raised the question of his leg, a shrug lifted broad shoulders.

Let’em Wonder.. She could feel his eyes on her just slightly as she’d cleaned. But when he spoke her attention fell on him and she nodded. Had Ryker been anyone else’s kid she wouldn’t have felt bad. But being that she was his daughter it made her stumble a bit. She met his gaze for a moment, and her mask faltered for a moment and she fought a battle in herself. Had he not noticed how she looked at him, or acted near him ? She felt her stomach drop a bit. She’d never stopped to think about if he’d even felt anything like that towards her at all. After all he was still legally married… to merrin. She nodded. @Nalik How we got this Far |
do not press this,
I am relentless. Illaria was back to being as lighthearted as she always was, a laugh filling the air as she claimed Ryker should be fine simply because of her own lack of experience. A brow arched in quiet skepticism. Surely a woman in her profession should know how to defend herself?
She was emphasizing that she did not feel bad about defending herself, only that it was his daughter she had sank her teeth into. But it was her expression that followed that kept his mouth shut. He couldn't quite give a name to her expression, but it was a crack in her otherwise neutral expression.
Then she was back to business. He was about to lie through his teeth about staying off his leg, when in reality, he was up more than he should be. The restlessness was eating at him. If not, I'd be happy to tie you up and sit here all day with you. A dark brow would arch then, a wolfish smirk lifting his mouth. Humor danced in her eyes before her expression sober and her tone changed. He was a bit taken aback by the undeniable plea in her voice. It was a knee jerk reaction to turn her down, to send her on her way and sit at home in silence.

Let’em Wonder.. He chided her about her lack of self defense skills and she blushed. She caught his wolfish smirk and she returned it with a dazzling smile of her own. And his words are what sobered her up from the tension building inside of her. @Nalik How we got this Far |
Patrol A whole patrol walks by and the soldiers stop. When they notice you, two approach you. One is a tall wolf with bright blue eyes and the other is of similar height to you. "Why are you here? And where is your commanding officer?" asks the tall one. This event affects only WANTED wolves. To try and persuade them and/or engage in a fight with them, please post in #updates. |
