Gwydion Kinnaird
It was a lovely night, he thought to himself as he peered out across the river Ness. He was all by his lonesome - a shame, really - but what could he do about that? A lofty sigh escaped him as he sat by the water, a chill breeze in the air swirling around him. His russet fur tousled slightly as he contemplated just what he was going to do tonight. He'd slept most of the day away so he was wide awake... that is, until a surprise yawn escaped him and he sighed in agonizing boredom. "There's never anything to do!" he barked at nobody in particular. With another heavy sigh, he lay down in the sandy grass and watched the water pass him by.
His blue eyes lit up when suddenly, he heard a sound. He turned his head to see someone approaching. The feminine figure caught his eye and he grinned from ear to ear. Finally! "Hey, you!" he said, jumping up and wagging his tail. template © bean |
She didn't often travel this far north, especially not in winter. She wasn't fond of the way the snow packed itself between her toes. But she'd come in early autumn and had found herself brimming with inspiration upon her return to the Mainlands. So, here she was again. Ironic, considering her general distaste for the wolves who lived here. They tended to be more... unrefined than their Mainlander counterparts.
Eloise paused, an amused smile tugging at her lips. Well, he wasn't wrong, she thought to herself. She supposed she had nothing better to do than investigate. She turned down an alley, following the voice to the river bank. There she found a young man with a fiery coat and rather striking blue eyes. He heard her approaching and grinned.
Unrefined, yes. But cute. She let her steps slow, hips swaying a bit as she came closer.

Gwydion could not help himself as he looked her over. First off, she was stunning, he thought to himself. Secondly, he thought since when did he even have these thoughts? He shook his head, trying no to eye the way her hips swayed when she walked. He wasn't trying to act like some mongrel. "Hey, you. Bored, are you? Couldn't think of anything better to do than wake half the city?" she asked, her voice like music to his ears. "Well, maybe they shouldn't be sleeping at such an hour. There's more to do at night, anyway?" he said with a grin. And just what did he mean by that? He didn't even know himself, but he stuck with it.
"I didn't wake you, did I?" he asked, tipping his head to the side. He would feel only a little bad if he had. "Oh, and my name's Gwydion. What's yours?" he added as an afterthought. He was curious about her and template © bean |
