s she had worried, the skunk once again led her in a new direction, peering back behind him to make sure that Willow was still following. And even though she felt quite foolish doing so, even if no one was watching but the silly skunk, she continued to trail after the sweet creature. She could tell he was an old soul and a very good skunk, but he was certainly making it difficult to connect!

”Maybe – maybe you’re just testing me to see if I will give up. But you see, skunky friend, I don’t give up that easily, not when someone is in need! Mama and Mum taught me better than that. And I can see you have a need, so. . .” It was becoming tiresome to keep following, but the sad, troubled look in those tiny dark eyes told her it was important, that whatever effort she was making would be worth it.
