Let’em Wonder.. She could tell from his reactions that the sedative was in fact working through his system as it should and she would soon be able to set to work on his wounds. She had made a plan up in her mind the moment she’d begun to inspect him. The little cuts and bruises could wait. And that was why she had focused on his leg. She continued to sing as she worked on his leg, taking her time with each step to ensure the best results possible. She felt the exhaustion of her travels, the stress of his condition and everything else eating away at her. But she refused to give in just yet. Moving onto his other wounds she used the same Cinnamon Bark Poultice on the rest of his little nics and scratches. After all of his wounds were properly cleaned and dressed she sat back with a smile at her work. Yes, the Colonel would love to fight another day. And that was all she needed for the tension to leave her body. She loosed a gentle sigh before picking up the array of herbs and supplies, placing them in her bag before hanging it on the door. She made quick work of cleaning up his room. Disposing of the water outside and then washing the bowl. She made sure to bring a small bowl of fresh water up to his room placing it near his head, she then fetched a rabbit she’d bought on her way to him from her bag along with some Feverfew leaves and left them both beside his water. Then she moved to sit beside him, she wouldn’t leave him like this. She wouldn’t need to buy some stronger painkillers tomorrow, but he’d need that wound dressed a few more times. She was going over things in her head that he needed to heal properly and she didn’t notice her eyelids growing heavy. After the long travel and the long day of work she fell asleep, her face mere inches from Nalik’s. A soft quiet snore giving away just how tired she’d been. And at some point in her sleep, her paw ended up hold his own. @Nalik How we got this Far |
do not press this,
I am relentless. How much time passed, he wasn't sure. A dreamless sleep would eventually claim him, allowing him to get a halfway decent rest. When the world started to come back into focus around him, he wasn't sure what time it was, or if it was even the same day. Eyes slowly opened, lids still heavy with sleep. He took his in his fuzzy surroundings, remembering that he was back home, in his own bed. The smell of herbs and blood was heavy in the air and for the moment, his body seemed to have forgotten about its injury.
It was then he realized he wasn't alone in his room, or his bed for that matter. Her warm breath wafted gently over his face from where she slept, snoring lightly. Half propped up on the edge of his bed, she was sound asleep.
Slowly and carefully, he'd lift his head, wincing as he shifted to prop his upper body up on his elbows. He tried not to disturb her. The smell of the rabbit hit him just as he spotted it, laying beside a bowl of water. Waiting for him. A ghost of a smile lifted one side of his mouth. While she slept, he took the opportunity to eat in silence while also watching her.
She'd become an interesting figure in his life. She was always patching him up lately it seemed. He could feel a change coming, he knew he needed one and he wondered if he would still see her. Calling her back Rionna had been an easy decision, one that he hadn't thought on before telling Ryker. Still sleeping, he was unabashed as his eyes traced the planes of her face, taking in her delicate features. She was beautiful. It wasn't that he hadn't noticed before, he wasn't blind, it just hadn't meant anything.
The herbs she had given were keeping him fairly comfortable, he at least didn't feel like he wanted to die. So he'd wash away the traces of his breakfast before he lowered his head towards the sleeping nurse.

Let’em Wonder.. Illaria was sound asleep, she was relaxed entirely. There were no dreams Dancing through her mind as she slept this time, just pure blissful sleep. That was until she felt someone touching her maw. She heard her name being called quietly. And she slowly began to stir. Her eyelids fluttered as she awoke. The smell of herbs, blood and his scent rushed through her senses. And just like that she remembered where she was. She felt a blush creep across her face as she finally opened her eyes. Blinking a few times she sat up, a yawn echoing from her. Then she looked Nalik in his face, she was mortified. She didn’t know when she’d fallen asleep, or when he’d woken up. She dipped her head in shame. @Nalik How we got this Far |

I am relentless. Her lashes would fluttered as she drifted towards consciousness. His nose twitched lightly, drawing in her sweet scent of berries and herbs, letting it fill his lungs. He would wait, watching with mild amusement. A yawn parted her jaws before she seemed to remember just where she was, that is wasn't her own bed she was only partly sleeping on. It was only a moment later that she looked at him, mortified. She quickly avoided his stare, hanging her head in what he could only assume was embarrassment.
A warm, rich chuckle parted his lips.

Let’em Wonder.. She couldn’t believe she had fallen asleep halfway in his bed. Her face was warm with embarrassment and her heart beat so rapidly. She couldn’t help herself when she slowly raised her head to look him in his beautiful dark green eyes. His assurance didn’t help the embarrassment she felt about it. She was supposed to be a professional. Though he seemed to be the only one who for some reason kept being the patient that blurred the line for her. She stifled a yawn and let out an awkward laugh. She felt the butterflies in her stomach going into overdrive at the sleep still lacing his voice. While she normally found his voice to be…enchanting, this was a whole new level. @Nalik How we got this Far |

I am relentless. Embarrassment was etched in her face, it kept her cheeks a warm shade of pink. He found he rather liked the look on her. Where she had once been unwaveringly professional, she now blurred the lines, leaving him wondering where they stood. In an attempt to restore some of the professionalism, she would ask about him, his leg.

Let’em Wonder.. She gave him a large smile at his answer. He had slept well and that was great for his healing. -Exit Illaria Via working on stubborn Nalik- @Nalik How we got this Far |
