Gwydion? Modest? Ha! He wanted to laugh at the thought but he said nothing instead-- it was a case of cat got his tongue. His blue gaze flickered momentarily to the cat in the tree, then back to Nimue. “Or perhaps it is the gentlemen you're after, hm?" At this Gwydion openly grimaced. "N-No way!" he fumbled. It wasn't something he'd even thought about in all honestly, he'd never met a male that he'd found cute or anything... how weird! “No matter...all I'm good time. You are quite darling, aren't you?" she added. He laughed a little nervously, still thinking a bit about her last comment. Her tone was a little patronizing... wasn't it? He couldn't quite tell but before he could regain himself she was sweeping him up in her arms and clasping a paw over his mouth. A surprised growl escaped him, but he did not bite or move as she spoke a warning in his ear. “Shhhh...shh...they'll hear you..." He didn't know who she was talking about but he didn't want them to hear, whoever they were. As her paw slid off his mouth he licked his lips and tilted his head, looking around. “Of course they're real, Gwydion! And they have the potential to make your life full of wonder or full of misery...so mind what you say." A raised brow would be met to this comment and then it dawned on him that that was what her warning was about. The fae. "Riiight..." he said, a chuckle leaving his lips. He turned to face her, still tangled up in her arms. "If you wanted to get close you could have just asked, you don't need to tell me fairy tales. I'm not a kid," he told her confidently. As he peered at her, he wondered just what her plan was or if she was really that concerned about folk tales. |
N “Besides, you can't knock it if you haven't tried it, wouldn't you say? And that is the beauty of love...it's freedom to surprise you with who your heart might grow fond of. That is why we must keep open minds." She paused for a moment, recalling previous years where she had openly detested males and scoffed at the poor women who did waste their time fawning over men. Perhaps her mentality had changed over time as she'd branched out and grew.to know other wolves. She found herself to be...less judgemental, in a way. After maneuvering her way to save the youth from destroying his entire life by openly denouncing the existence of fae, he seemed to have some choice words for her. Nimue's cheeks suddenly burned, but she had to laugh at the situation she'd put her in. "Ha! That was smooth..." She peeled herself back from Gwydion, clicking her tongue at him. "I'm likely old enough to be your mother! And I am not telling fairy tales. You continue to talk like that and you'll find out the truth for yourself." She huffed lightly and shook her head, realizing that it was no use trying to make him believe when the Fae were perfectly capable of that themselves. @Gwydion

"Now, now...no need to make faces! If it's not your cup of tea, it's not your cup of tea, but don't piss in the pot, darling, it's very unbecoming." Gwydion looked up at her, his brow furrowing as he shook his head. “Besides, you can't knock it if you haven't tried it, wouldn't you say? And that is the beauty of love...it's freedom to surprise you with who your heart might grow fond of. That is why we must keep open minds." "I'm not trying anything like that, it's not for me." he said, not caring to take her words to heart. He couldn't imagine falling for a boy, it just didn't... feel right to him. He didn't care about what others wanted to do, however, and so he said nothing more on the matter, not wishing to cause argument, though he couldn't quite see why Nimue would care all that much. Unless... "Ha! That was smooth..." she said and he smiled wide. "Smooth is my middle name," he teased. "I'm likely old enough to be your mother! And I am not telling fairy tales. You continue to talk like that and you'll find out the truth for yourself." "You're sure sounding like my mother, if anything." he said after a moment. He thought back to her earlier comments and began to wonder if beautiful Nimue was a lost cause. "Speaking of which... I should probably head back home. I'll keep an eye out for the fae, though. Untill next time, beautiful Nimue." he said as he gave her a playful bow, then he turned to leave. |
S Shadow Weaver dropped down from the tree and curled about her feet as she smiled after her newest acquaintance. "Until next time, Smooth Gwydion. I look forward to it." She gave a dip of her own head before moving in the opposite direction, gracefully slipping away into the shadows of the mystical wood. [Exit Nimue] @Gwydion
