A coldness washed over him as he walked along the city streets, his gaze fixating from wolf to wolf as they passed him as if waiting for something sinister to happen, though it was his next stop that had him far more anxious. It wasn’t often he was sent on investigation missions, far more stuck on patrols or ensuring his underlings were doing as they should for his own benefit so his reputation wouldn’t be tarnished from something he couldn’t even control. Dealing with others outside of comrades had become alien to him over time, lacking the best communication skills as fangs were often of more use to him with criminals and those alike. What made it worse is he didn’t come alone; a few henchmen had tagged along as backup in case things went south even though the culprit was dead. One was rather dull witted while the other was more often quiet.

“Wait at the gate, only engage if matters become hostile,” he instructed, glancing at two wolves that stood at attention and gave a rather quick yes sir, filling him with a small bit of electricity that they were so obedient now unlike when he had first become a Major. He couldn’t prevent the swish of a content tail before he walked past the two, a grin pulling at his lips after traveling a few steps toward a well-crafted establishment that belonged to a politician of all wolves. A man of great esteem, at least while he was alive. How things had spilled like a wave in his death about all the crimes that had been committed, so few seemed aware of. He supposed if he hadn’t been able to cover his tracks up till that point, he would not have been so good at his job.

Cecil Calyx. It was a rather extravagant sounding name much like the life he walked and all so calculated.

An ear twitched as he got to the door, not sure what to expect to appear on the other side as his paw rasped against a knocker to make a thud against wood. It could be a servant, or it could be a relative of the man he came to learn more of and garner if they were innocent. There were a couple names that had come across his desk that went along with the Calyx man, his closest kin and most likely to have obtained his fortune. “Hello. I am here to speak with either Valther or Eleanor Calyx, if either are present. It is of official business, regarding the late Lord Cecil Calyx,” he said calmly to the first being to open the door or greet him from elsewhere along the property.
