The crow belong to her now. It had picked the carcass clean of it's meat as she allowed it to do and she took the bones, hiding them in a hollow for her collection. The ebon corvid had followed and at first she thought it meant to make a meal out of her. She quickly realized that she had gained a companion by way of dominating it. It was a small satisfaction. If she could do that with birds, she could do it with anyone. Divine Fools Perhaps today it would be a mouse...or a vole? She was hoping it was something she had not yet seen before. While she waited, she dug up the bones she already had, stacking them in piles or arranging them to create horridly deformed beasts that only lived in nightmares. It was an enjoyable activity to Lark...like creating her own puzzle, a macabre masterpiece that she was proud to call her own. @Vadim |

She slid one more tiny bone in place into the work of art she'd created, lifting herself to her paws to review what she's constructed. Her tail wagged behind her, clearly taking pride in her work. It was then that she heard movement within the undergrowth, her ears flicking forward, alert to catch the sound all the while critiquing her morbid monstrosity. Divine Fools A looming, dark figure dared to obstruct even an inch of sunlight upon Lark's little craft. She glanced over, but otherwise paid him no mind, until he spoke aloud. ‘Gross...weird’ were the descriptors that this older brute decided to plainly let his tongue waggle with wasted breath. A grin that had spread across her maw only widened at what she was going to take as compliments. When he asked her if she was alone, there was a long pause. The child lifted her face, tilting her head back ever so slightly as peered up into deep indigo eyes that they nearly shared together. "I'm not alone...I have my crow, Laudna, and I have Nightstalker here..." She gave a nod to the beast of bone, pointing at it with her nose. "And they are always watching..." Lark responded eerily, her gaze drifting about the edges of the clearing they sat in. As she looked about, it seemed that she was almost peering between the trees and branches at something lingering. @Vadim |

Midnight orbs focused in on the big man again, staring into his own that looked quite similar to her own. He insisted once again that she was alone. “No, I'm not alone." A slow smile creeped across her maw before she placed a paw over her mouth and giggled. “But, you are.” She continued to smile at him until she asked about her ‘daddy'. Her expression went blank and she quirked an eyebrow at him, her expression wholly unimpressed. “I don't have a...‘daddy'." She responded in a mocking tone, wrinkling her nose a the word. “Mother says that I was made during the Rituals of Samhain. She says she seduced two males and bedded them, whatever that means. Then she carried me and my brothers in her womb before she birthed us at the peak of Tir Na Nog during a storm.” Divine Fools Lark glanced over shoulder back in the direction her beloved crow departed at her mention. When she turned back around to look at this brute, she narrowed her eyes. “Or I have her come back and peck out your eyeballs. I have plenty of bones...no eyeballs yet." There was some bite to her response, the fur about her neck ruffled slightly until he began to grin. He was toying with her...and her glare only intensified as he asked about her morbid monsterpiece. “I don't know. Why don't you ask him, if you really want to know?" She would wait for him to do it, glancing between him and the organized bones. Eventually her gaze landed on him, her gaze intense as she studied him, before she vocalized again, “I don't like you very much. You don't talk to me how I want you to." @Vadim |

Ugh, why was he asking such silly questions? Lark wrinkled her nose again at him and gave a quick shake of her head with a shrug. “Money? Why would she need money? The Fae don't care for stupid shiny coins, only crows do." Speaking of crows, he kept telling her to bring Laudna back over. She didn't do anything she was told if it wasn't from Mother and Rhiannon. He grew himself taller and stood over her and she watched in disgust as saliva dripped from his open maw. Divine Fools Lark mimicked a gag and shuffled a seat backwards away from the slimy droplets. “Gross...go get your own corvid. You can't have mine, slobbermouth." The little girl huffed, glaring at him as if to dare him to be mean to her. Then the shadow man loomed even taller over her now and she whined with irritation. “You're gonna get your stinky spit on me!" She moved herself and tried to push some of the bones out of the way of his drooling as well. When he spoke again it was a familiar defiance and her ears perked up, looking at him in the face as she studied his crazed orbs. She suddenly felt like a reflection of herself and her tone immediately changed. So, you're like me then." A grin pulled her lips back revealing her rows of sharp thorned puppy teeth, her tail wagging behind her. “You're my friend now, got it?" She pawed a couple of the bones she had collected towards the dark brute. “Here, hold those." She ordered before starting to rearrange some of the bones to shapeshift Nightstalker into a bipedal creature. While piecing her puzzle together she glanced up at him and then spoke, “If your really so hungry and don't know how to feed yourself, I saw some big dead creature past a few of these trees and over a hill that way." She gestured to the West with her nose and then continued playing. “It was too heavy for me to drag or break apart myself. I have to wait for the vultures to pick it clean." @Vadim |

A snarl erupted from the shadow beast, huge jaws opening wide to show off fangs and gum and more of his saliva. The volume of his voice raised to a roar and it took her by surprise making her jump and cower for only a mere second. Until she felt a chilling shockwave, her body's visceral and instinctual response to the sudden shift in tempo of their interplay.Divine Fools The sensation was delicious, leaving behind the most delicate tingle. Her expression altered from a wide-eyed fear to a wideset grin and a glint in her deep blue eyes as a maniacal giggle bubbled up from her mouth. Again... Came the begging from inside of her skull and she began to open her mouth to taunt him some more, that is...until he refused the friendship that she offered. That was not the part that shook her awake in this moment. It was the purposeful snap of her collection of bones beneath his meaty, filthy paws that decided his fate. Larkspur's grin vanished, any cheerful form of a child withdrawing into the darkness of her glowering hues. She stared at him with an eerily silent intensity, unblinking. Whatever words spilled from his disgusting jowls were completely irrelevant. There were voices whispering softly in the wind that rustled the fur of her ears. Mighty fine teeth he has...could replace what he has broken...how easy is it to remove them...? [Exit Lark] @Vadim |
