he was unsure if this male would ever trust her. But she would want to make sure that both of them would be healed properly. It was such an unfit punishment for someone to go through all of that and suffer the wounds of their enemies. She had done her very best to help them, and she hoped that he would actually use the herbs and plants she had given to them. She really wanted to assess the slumbering one, but she knew that if she moved closer to the female, he would not be so kind. Putting herself in this position might be considered dumb to some, but she knew it was the right thing to do.
"Feuch an leighis thu fhèin co-dhiù romham?"1 It was all she was going to ask of him. It was all she could ask. With the heightening of his voice, she knew there would be a guard to come and check on them before long.
"Tha mi a’ guidhe gu math dhut le chèile, a choigreach."2 She would leave the dungeon to his request, and she hoped that she would be able to see them well, outside the chambers of despair and insanity.
Just as she had guessed, two guards were now standing before the door.
"You have a death wish with this criminal?" they jested as they laughed in her face. They opened the door and waited for Calla to exit, all the while keeping their eyes locked on Raith.
"Mar a mhiannacheadh tu,"3 she said to the male before exiting the cell. She hoped that he would help them, she wished that he would be well enough to handle the task of healing them both. She wished in her time within those walls, that maybe even a little bit of him began to trust her. She would leave just as he had asked, but she would not ultimately leave her home. She had others to help, others to heal.
Translation:
1. Please at least heal yourselves before me?
2. I wish you both well, stranger.
3. As you wish,
@Raith
