His poor bear! Luckily for Sund, he would find that the solders were being *very* polite. Too polite, almost. One of them had skittered away from the bars with an 'Okay!' in response to something he had demanded, though at Sund's voice he poked his head against the bars and brightened broadly. He had a small puncture on his cheek, likely from the fact that he'd had to be subdued, but it had already begun to heal and would likely leave only the smallest of marks.
"Ah, there you are!" he sighed, a sound of relief more than anything. The bars were wide enough for his nose to get through, and so he pressed a soft smooch to his cheek,"Are you well? How is Inga? Have you seen my cat? Nobody has been cruel to you, have they?" Uh--excuse me, YOU are the behind the bars, Cyrill. ..And yet, his cell was quite neat and tidy, he had a larger amount of water and food in there than anybody else--and was that a whole bed? Apparently, behind behind the bars did not mean he was any less domineering than before, and the soldiers had likely been made to bow to his demands-- or worse, deal with him. "Oh, don't look so sad. I'll be out of here soon." he paused,"...Sooner rather than later, I think." Whispers through the bars....already, one of the ones accused of treason had been broken out in the night, whisked away in silence under cover of dark. "...Sundstol, listen to me. No matter what, I'll protect you, okay? ....If anything happens, I want you to go to my classroom in the college. There is a door there, and within it is a bunker. A safe space, so to speak. You will have to move a few tiles to reach it, but you'll be safe there until I can get to you." |
"Bring Inga if you want, but I'm sure that they'll have no reason or use in slaughtering chickens. Your house will be empty so they might occupy it for a time, but that means the chickens will be useful to them. I'm sure they'll be fine. But Inga is a little shit so she should go with you." He said this with fondness, rather than anything else. He had grown very fond of Inga, and hated the idea of anything bad happening to her.
"Anyway... the school should be safe. My stupid little bunker is where I grow certain plants for medicines, so it's temperature controlled and safe. Just don't let Inga eat the red or blue mushrooms, those are both poison when eaten raw and need to be cooked and mixed to be safe for consumption. I'll meet you there, I promise. Just do your best to stay out of the way of the soldiers and the townsfolk, because I know this war is going to get a lot worse before it gets better." he paused, and rested his cheek against the bars so that he could gently smoosh it against Sund's. "...To be clear, I don't care what side you're on or what beliefs you have. I just want you to be safe. War is nothing I haven't already been through, but you shouldn't have to." |
