llow could feel frustration creeping in as the curious skunk she had discovered continue to be elusive. But there was something within the young she-wolf that kept urging her to continue on the path, to try even when it felt a bit hopeless. The young she wolf inhaled deeply to steady her nerves as she pressed onward through the brush.

After all, the skunk could have darted away, or sprayed the wolf to its heart's content, and been rid of Willow by now. Strangely, however, it had not done any of those things to her, further encouraging the wolfess to continue further into the woods.

"Maybe -- maybe you are actually injured? Or you are sick? Do you need any help, little friend?" This time, she hoped her attempts to connect with the two-toned creature were more successful than the last two. Green eyes watched intently to see how the skunk would respond this time.

s she was speaking, the skunk finally stopped. It turned to look at Willow, who recognized immediately that something was indeed wrong. Worried green eyes scanned the skunk for any obvious signs of injury, but without getting closer, there was no way to really know what was ailing the poor creature.

It made a soft sound (that Willow found extremely cute), as it took a single step closer to the eager wolfess, as if testing to see if she was safe to approach. ”If you’re not feeling so good, then I can use my satchel–”

Except that she had left the satchel behind where she was sitting. Her face winced. ”I have to go get it, though. Will you stay right here, please?” Could the skunk really understand her language? If she could not understand it, than it was entirely possible that her words were only sounds to it. Still, she would keep on trying.
