In her haste to criticise the scent of Mainlander pelts it had escaped Roisin's notice that Nora had not been singing their praises. The correction hit her like an acorn dropping on her head. "O-Oh," she mumbled, a little embarrassed to have made that mistake. Luckily Nora didn't seem to mind so she swallowed down her embarrassment and nodded her agreement. It would have been awkward to fall out over a misunderstanding about the scent of mainlander pelts.

Her ears twitched at the assumption that no one had taught her. If that was the case she wouldn't have felt like she did. It was her fault for forgetting in the first place. "I did learn, but it's been years since I've spoken it," she admitted, white brow furrowing self-consciously at her excuses. A proper highlander wouldn't have forgotten their mother tongue.

The news about Nora's pregnancy caused her features to twitch in surprise. The dungeon was no place for an expectant mother. "Why are you in the dungeon? This is outrageous," Roisin growled, climbing to her paws. "The next time the guard makes their rounds, I swear.. They will not get away with keeping you here," the small angry highlander promised.

Fade to Roisin yelling at a guard probably

NORA SEAFARER
still feels like i can't stop crying
Nora didn't fault her for her mistake, it was no big deal, and the realization on the other girls face was enough to draw another warm smile from the small black wolf. It was amusing to say in the least.

Onto matters of their native tongue, it seemed she had learned she just hadn't spoken it in a while and so she'd simply... forgotten. Nora simply shrugged her shoulders, it wasn't her place to judge especially not here and now. There were more important matters at hand than who could speak what language in her opinion.

At the mention of her pregnancy, Nora's anger was refueled. How dare they keep her in here in this condition-- granted she wasn't currently showing but she could tell... she just knew something was off and it was the only thing she could think of given the timeline of events. "Oh, I'm sure they will, but they won't get a moment's peace for doing so!" she said, letting Roisin's own mood fuel her own. She turned away from the girl and towards one of the tired looking guards to yell at him. He sighed and closed his eyes, trying his best to ignore them... it was going to be a long three months, Nora thought.
