How long had it been since he'd seen another soul? Sinclair couldn't even count the days anymore. He'd evaded all those seeking to come close and managed to keep to himself but the loneliness perhaps what drove him near town now. He lingered on the outskirts before deciding his plan was foolish and then turned to be on his way again--maybe the highlands would be a good place to hide out for a time and then, who knew where he'd end up.
As he walked, he thought he saw the figure of another wolf standing in the pathway. He debated momentarily on what to do before just who it was registered in his head. Sinclair's mind went blank as he realized it was Lye standing there, looking lost and confused. His throat went dry and his chest constricted as he looked at her. He wanted to run, both to her and away from her, but he couldn't find the willpower to do either in the moment so he just stood there and stared for what seemed like an eternity. Finally, before she could notice him, his paws started to work and he started to move. However, it wasn't in the direction he wanted as he found himself carried closer and closer until he was standing before her. Without thinking, or saying a word, he pressed his muzzle against hers and closed his lavender eyes. It was all he could do, just to see if she were real. sinclair coax

She was really here... and then she wasn't.
As she snarled and ripped her muzzle away a pit began to grow in his stomach and he stared at her longingly. He'd just wanted a few more (infinite) moments with her, stuck in the past where things weren't as they were now. But he couldn't care about any of that when he was faced with her reality right before him. sinclair coax
