f nothing else, Willow was persistent. When her heart was set on something, there was no talking her out of it. And today, all she wanted was to befriend a skunk. The little creature had shown an interest in her remedies, but it was still not enough to convince it that Willow was only here to help.

By now, she had deduced a few things about this restless skunk. It was a boy skunk. All of his limbs seemed to be in good working order. But she had noticed at this point that it was very small. She wasn’t an expert by any means, but beneath that black and white fur, the poor dear was all skin and bones. Maybe he was still very young and had been separated from his parents, and was still learning to survive on his own?

Whatever the case, Willow was still there, still trying, and still smiling. ”I’ll bet you’re very little. That’s okay, I was found when I was still small. Then I got adopted. So if you’re all alone, well, you don’t have to be anymore.” She watched expectantly.
