Lake Immeln
A break in the pines reveals a secluded lake dotted with cattails and purple thistle. Water lilies blanket the serene, greenish black water, and ducks, swans, and other waterfowl are frequent visitors of the plentiful fish and aquatic life. Fallen trees make nice seats for a bit of respite. The lake is so secluded that only natives tend to travel there, but it is often the reason many venture to Pinecrest in the first place. Children are often found splashing in the lake’s shallow banks, and it is not uncommon for university students to wander in and study on the dappled light of the shore.
